Please read all the points below carefully:

  1. ACSL Elementary level is for kids in 3rd to 6th Grade. Each contest consists of an online 30-minute, 5-question non-programming test focused on a single content category.  A different category will be tested on each contest. The four categories are:
    1. Computer Number System (Binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal)
    2. Prefix/Infix/Postfix notation
    3. Boolean Algebra
    4. Graph Theory
  2. ACSL Junior Level is for kids up to 9th grade. Each contest consists of an online 30-minute, 5-question short answer test and an online programming problem to solve in 72 hours. The categories are similar to the elementary level but more rigorous. Programming problems can be done in any language.
  3. The four online tests will be done in Nov, Jan, Feb and Mar.
  4. Please register by Oct 12, 11:59pm PST if you are serious about taking the test. Registering teams cost us a significant amount of money.
  5. NorCal Robotics is run by high school kids. We keep these tests free so that kids who can’t afford them should be easily able to take them here, but if you can afford them, please donate so that we can continue these tests free. The Donate button is at the top right corner.

Sorry, the registration is closed for ACSL Contest
