FLL Challenge
July 17th 5:00 – 6:00 PM – Grades 4-8
FIRST LEGO League Challenge introduces kids to competitive robotics using Lego Robotics kits (EV3 and Spike Prime). Kids not only learn how to build and program a robot that can complete some predefined challenges; They learn real world skills like teamwork and presentation skills. As part of FLL Challenge kids also have to work on a project in which they have to identify a real-world problem (based on that year’s theme), propose a solution and present the solution to the community.
FLL Explore
July 24th 5:00 – 6:00 PM – Grades 2-4
FIRST LEGO League Explore is a team-based science and engineering program for students. Teams explore a scientific challenge based on real-world problems. Application of design and code is used to create a LEGO model to demonstrate their ideas. Models are programmed using the LEGO robotics kit WeDo 2.0. Teams share their experience on a Show Me Poster and at their local expos, with every team going home with at least one award!
